Both the Cardinals and the BlueJays were proud to be the first game played on the newly named Dresher Field. It was an up and down exciting game. The Cardinals took an early lead thanks to some solid hitting by the entire team but the BlueJays bounced back with the strength of their middle line up. In the end the Cardinals rallied late in the 6th to pull out a victory.

Ryan Vermette, not only hit the ball with two outs at the bottom of the sixth, he scored the winning run on a steal to home plate. Sunday May 2nd, was one of the hottest days that I could ever remember for an early May Sunday. With the heat bearing down on both teams that day, the A's and Blue Jays came to play! It all started off with the A's, Matt Caplan's double which landed a two nothing first inning. The A's had some great pitching, Aaron Silva was throwing heat for two innings. Andrew Simard also threw some heat to make the game 5 nothing A's. The A's have truly been working on their offense, and all team members were crushing the ball yesterday. Pranav, Shrev, Anthony, and Kevin Morris were all crushing the ball. By the top of the 4th. Nick Stockman of the Blue Jays, was three for three and scored our first run drove in by Tyler Arnesen. Ryan Vermette,Tyler, Neysa O, and Nick all pitched six great innings for the Blue Jays, and this helped us secure a win that day. The Blue Jays also had two kids come up from Minors. Jake Smith, and Nathan ZAZA also made great contributions to help the team win thier second game of the season. Nathan has a great arm and helped bring in a tag at second base during the 5th inning. While Jake Smith made a great out at third during the 3rd. Hats off to Jake Meleedy who made two outs that day from second. All around both teams are coming into thier own, and we look forward to playing the A's again soon.

On a warm windy Thursday evening at Dresher field The A’s and The Blue Jays met again. The visiting A’s struck first in the top of the first with a string of hits Pranav Prabhala’s first of 3 double and some great base running by Kevin Morris, Joey Early and Roe Hendrick. When the dust settled 8 A’s had crossed the plate. Pranav then took the mound and held the Blue Jays scoreless thanks to a put out by catcher Michael Oliver on the speedy Nic Stockman.. The A’s went down 1-2-3 in the second As Brenan Bergeron did a masterful job for the Jay’s and they carried that momentum into the bottom of the 2nd with 5 runs sandwiched around Ryan Vermette’s slashing double scoring Zach Wilson and Tyler Linscott and a clutch hit by Anen Kennedy to score Ryan. The A’s were held scoreless in the top of the third and in the bottom of the 3rd Tyler Bernard took the mound and held the Blue Jay’s scoreless in spite of a long double by Zach. With the score still A’s 8, Blue Jay’s 5 the A’s got a single by Anthony “Boog” Ceci scoring Pranav. After Joey work his way on base loading them up with A’s and nobody out, The Blue Jay’s sent for their Ace Nick Stockman... Nic Struck out the first batter he faced then began to bear down on the A’s power hitter Matt Caplan. Matt was up to the challenge and slammed a double into the gap in right scoring Tyler and Anthony and despite his speed Joey was tagged out by Neysa Oulelte the Blue Jay’s all star catcher saving a run.. Nic took care of the next batter and the Blue Jays went to work in the bottom of the fifth trailing by 6. the A’s 6 run lead quickly turned to 4 despite the best defensive efforts of A’s star players Andrew Simard and Nathan Beaton when Nic and Tyler Arnesen cross the plate for the Jay’s. The top of the sixth saw great pitching by Nic. Roe lead off by working the count and getting aboard with a walk and stole his way around the diamond for an insurance run. Going to the bottom of the 6th it was A’s 12 and Blue Jays 7. Even with A’s close Anthony on the mound the A’s knew 5 runs was not a comfort level against a team the caliber of the Jays. The A’s defense tightened up led by Sri Kumar to make some plays to save this game. Cam Bisson led off the inning and did his job to get on base and then work himself into scoring position. Nic slammed a double scoring Cam, Then Neysa, already a defensive star, became an offensive star with a big league single scoring Nic from second. Then Neysa scored on a clutch fielder’s choice from Zach in a text book sacrifice. 2 down 2 run game and Anthony dug in to get the third and final out of the game….. A’s 12 – Blue Jays 10

The Astros mounted a come back in the bottom of the fourth scoring 4 runs to pull within two runs sparked by a single and some heads up base running by Andrew Pankala.
