Parker Obenhofer worked a walk in a tough at bat well pitched by the extremely accurate Mr. Yan Who threw 2 innings, 59 pitches with 49 for strikes (which has to be some kind of record). This loaded the bases for Nolan Foss who came up to bat. With the count 2-2 Nolan was able to lace a grounder to the right side of the field that made it to the outfield. This scored 2. The Cardinals weren't done there... Joshua Tramack came up to bat and Brandon got ahead with two strikes. On the 3rd pitch Josh hammered a shot to deep right field that scored Parker and Nolan. Brandon then settled in and struck out the next 2 batters. Although Josh was able to steal third, Mr. Yan was able to hold offensive show to only 4 runs. Parker Obenhofer came in throwing. Despite 2 single by Drew Dunham and Michael Schaff. Ryan Murray came out in the top of the 3rd and was able to hold the Cardinals scoreless to give his team an opportunity to come back. What a game! The Card's had a strong first inning, but the O's jumped out ahead on Jake's grand slam and stayed in front throughout, but not without a fantastic rally by the Cardinals in the bottom of the 6th with well timed hitting to make both sides gasping for a "how will it end" sense of anticipation. However, the O's defense was solid enough to stop the Card's attempt to come from behind finish. The Cardinals pitched Nolan for 3, Parker for 1, and Tim for 3. The O's pitched Jake for 5 and Brandon for 1.

The Giants hosted the Orioles in critical matchup with the winners moving on in the playoffs. While the O’s played well today both defensively and offensively, it wasn’t enough to hold off the mighty Giants! The Giants starter Nathan Cormier was solid in his two innings of work striking out 5 and allowing no runs. Pitching for the Orioles were starter Nate Zalzal, Mason Linscott, Brendan Choate & Eren LaBonte. All the O's pitchers put on good performances recording 12 K’s throughout the game. The Giants offense showed patience at the plate and added runs on walks coupled with hits by Brandon Yan and Brendan Trombey (3-3) jumping out to a 4 – 0 lead. The Orioles however would soon mount their comeback with hits by Mason Linscott (2B), Eren LaBonte (1B), Nate Bergerson (1B) and, Ryan Joransen (1B) and a timely hit by Nathan Zalzal who delivered a bases clearing triple to put the Orioles on top 5-4. The Giants, then went to work tying the game in the third and breaking it open in the fourth, scoring five. The Giants then brought in closer Brandon Yan who faced a number of tough Orioles hitters who put in good at bats and were not going down without a fight. In the end Yan would record six K's in his effort to preserve the Giants win. This was a long but hard fought battle and each team win or lose could “feel good” about their efforts.
